Our Masters
Mr Gopi, World Percussion
Gopi was born in a family of musicians, his father being a Mrudangam (Indian percussion instrument) player.
Even as an infant, Gopi showed keen interest in music and used to accompany his father to temples, concerts where he played the cymbals.
He, later on, went to formally study and play the Tabla. This gave him a firm foundation and confidence to experiment with other percussion instruments from different parts of the world.
He has a wide collection of percussion instruments that he has acquired while traveling for performances all over the world. In his musical journey, he has been fortunate to learn under the eminent guidance of Gurus like Pandit Suresh Talwalkar & the percussion maestro Trilok Guru.
Today he is considered to be one of the most accomplished percussionists in the World Music category.
Smt Vidushi Sangeetha Srikishen, Carnatic Vocals
Vidushi Sangeetha Srikishen a Carnatic vocalist and an entrepreneur, began her musical journey at the tender age of 5 when she used to lead SAI BHAJANS at various religious gatherings along with her mother, a violinist.
Inspired at a very young age, she went on to learn music and during her musical journey, she had the great opportunity to be tutored by some of India’s finest musicians.
She is a postgraduate in Music from the Mysore University.
Dr. Sriram Parasuram, Maestro in Hindustani and Carnatic Vocals and Violin
Dr. Sriram Parasuram, a distinguished musician and esteemed faculty member at the World Music Conservatory, began playing the violin at age four and performed publicly by eight. With over 3000 solo concerts worldwide, he excels in both Carnatic and Hindustani violin, recognized as an A-grade artist by All India Radio and Doordarshan.
Sriram holds degrees in mechanical engineering, an MBA, a Master of Music in Western Violin Performance, and a Ph.D. in World Music. His accolades include the President of India Gold Medal and the Ustad Amir Khan Award.
He has produced the acclaimed Hindi pop album "Savariya," composed for Manirathnam’s "Five Star," and directed successful children’s musical projects at Karadi Tales. Alongside his wife, Anuradha Sriram, he created the unique Carnatic-Hindustani Jugalbandhi concert format. Their TV show "Ellaame Sangeetham Thaan" won the Tamilnadu Arts Academy’s “Best Music Programme on TV” award twice. Dr. Sriram also served as Executive Director of SAMPRADAYA, promoting South Indian musical traditions, and his diverse expertise enriches our conservatory.
Smt Vidushi Sridevi, Carnatic Vocals
Smt Vidushi Sridevi has completed her MA in Kannada and Sanskrit and in Karnatic Classical Music.
She Auditioned in All India Radio as B high artist and has taught more than 150 students in Gurukula served as a teacher in Adamya Chetana and currently working in World Music Conservatory.
She has participated in more than 5000 programs and participated as a playback singer for many musical plays, in Hampi Utsav, in Vishwa Kannada Sammelana, in Vishwa Samskruta Sammellana.
Haripriya, Carnatic Vocals
Haripriya started her Carnatic Vocal journey at age 6 under Vidushi Dr. Pantula Rama in Visakhapatnam. She continued her training with Vidwaan Dr. Dwaram Venkata Krishna Ganesha Tyagaraj, refining her skills over two and a half years. With deep roots in music, she learned from her great-grandmother, a retired TTD music teacher, and has showcased her talent in numerous performances.
Haripriya has been teaching for 6 years and has participated in prestigious events like Sri Tyagaraja Aradhana Utsavalu and Sri Annamacharya Sankeertanalu, among others.
Vidwan Sri Sunil Subramanya, Mridangam
Sunil Subramanya was drawn to the art of percussion as a child. He hails from a family with deep roots in music, particularly in the Bhajana Sampradaya. He started his initial training at the age of 10 under his father Sri Subramanya and Sri Sringeri Ramachandra Rao. Later he came under the tutelage of Mridangam Maestro Vidwan Bangalore Arjun Kumar.
Sunil has taken advanced training from VID. Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri Umayalapuram K Sivaraman.
Sunil has been giving concerts at esteemed sabhas and music festivals all over India. He has been training many students in India and abroad.
Sunil is an ‘A’ graded artist of ALL INDIA RADIO and DOORDARSHAN. He is the recipient of CMANA (Carnatic music association of North America) award from percussive arts center Bangalore in the year 2017. He is the recipient of one of our country’s most prestigious awards - “ANANYA YUVA PURASKARA” for the year 2019.
Bhargav R Ranganath, Carnatic Vocal Coordinator, Indian Music
Bhargav R Ranganath is an aspiring Carnatic Vocalist.
Bhargav initially underwent musical training from Vidwan Chandrashekhara Bhagavatar in Mumbai for 10 years.
His passion for music stayed alive while he completed his engineering and post-graduate degrees.
After having worked for L&T and PWC, Bhargav returned to Carnatic music, recently acquiring a Master's degree in music from Jain university, Bangalore.
Currently he is continuing to advance his training under Vidwan Tirumale Srinivas.
Vidwan Durgaprasad Rao, Hindustani Flute
Vidwan Durgaprasad Rao is a Flautist Par Excellence & Singer known for his soulful renditions. he is a multi-faceted personality who wears many hats! He is a prominent disciple of Padma-Vibhushan "Hariprasad Chaurasia ji".
Vidwan Durgaprasad is now based in Bangalore city where he has been performing in solo Bansuri classical concerts, fusion concerts, light music concerts as accompanist, and recording flautist for albums and movies..
Vidwan Mahesh Kumar Heroor, Hindustani Vocals & Harmonium
Hailing from a place called Heroor from Gulbarga, Shri Mahesh Kumar Heroor is one of the most promising young Hindustani vocalists of Karnataka.
He is an exponent of Hindustani Classical music and Light Classical music. He is blessed with a great voice. He was trained in the Guru – Shishya Parampara system of music under none other than the Sangeet Shivayogi Ubhaya Ganaacharya Dr. Pandit Puttaraja Gavai.
He has been performing in all leading organizations and music festivals.
Shri Mahesh Kumar Heroor is a faculty at the World Music Conservatory for the past two years and trains students in Classical and light forms of music.
Subhasis Bhattacharya, Guitar and Saxophone
Mr. Subhasis Bhattacharya has been playing guitar, piano, tabla & vocal for the past 20 years at the Musicians & Administration in the Indian Air Force.
He learned music from Kolkata University - Sangeet Ratna (Hindusthani Vocal), Senior Diploma (Tabla), Senior Diploma (Key Board), and 5th Grade Guitar, 5th Grade Theory In Music (Western) From Trinity Collage of London and Solo Saxophonist (Western & Hindi).
He performed with renowned music bands in stage shows and assisted them in composing their leading songs & playing guitar.
Mr. Subhasis Bhattacharya performed all over India & the universe (France, Italy, Thailand, Srilanka, and Bangladesh).
He was also awarded the best performance award for vocals and guitar chops at the Indian Air Force.
Suneesh Thomas, Piano, Western Keyboard, Western Violin
Suneesh Thomas is basically from Kerala-Kannur.
He is a pianist and violinist par excellence and has over 20+ years of experience in music as a performer.
He has completed his post-graduation in Sociology and also completed 8th Grade from Trinity College of London. He has pursued his music training from Communication Training Institute - Bangalore.
He has worked in the Air Force for 20 years as a musician, and also with renowned conductorcise composers and performed in countries like Finland, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand, Srilanka and many more countries.
He has trained more than 2000+ students and has created stage performers at many schools and is associated with the Delhi Symphony Society.
He composes and arranges music for the Symphony Orchestra.
He is happy working in World Music Conservatory as a faculty from the past 3 years.
Dr. Shyam Sundar, Indo Western Keyboard
Dr. Shyamsundar Dage is from Bangalore. He is specialized in Indo Western Keyboard and has been teaching for almost more than 2 decade that enables students to play popular Indian music like Film songs, Patriotic songs, and Light music.
Shyam Sundar has trained more than 3000+ students. He has worked in Taal music for 4 years and worked in orchestras like Zemkar Melodies, Jai Melodies, and Sangeeth Saurabha.
Presently working as Zone music activity trainer in Sri Chaitanya Techno School. He is also running an orchestra called Cini Star Music Group.
Several instrumental programs is given by him.
We are very glad to have him in World Music Conservatory for the past 15+ years as an Indo Western Keyboard Faculty.
Mr Amar Gulecha, Guitar
Mr. Amar Gulecha was born and brought up in Bangalore. He has been playing guitar for more than eight years and teaching for the past four years.
He has learned from various music schools in Bangalore. He has completed his Trinity Grade 8 from Trinity College London.
He has tutored 700+ students and has guided them for various performances and guitar exams from initial grade to 8th grade.
He teaches various genres like rock, hard rock, pop, western, blues, heavy metal, classical, etc.
He plays for bands and does regular shows in and around Bangalore. He is also a session guitarist and has worked on different music projects.
He has been composing and recording his own music for three years.
Mr. Amar Gulecha has been playing the keyboard also from three years. He has been tutoring at World Music Conservatory for more than two years.
Mr Shiva Tej Manohar, Guitar
Shiva Tej Manohar has been playing guitar for the past 10 years and teaching for more than 4 years.
He learned the basics from Mr.Ramnath Sharma who is an intermediate and advanced by himself and learned from workshops with one of the world's most famous teachers Andy James.
He has learnt both western and Indian classical. He teaches from initial to 8th grade in Trinity.
He composes songs and plays guitar in his own rock band Arha.
He also plays guitar as a session artist for some music directors in sandalwood.
Revansidda Sheelvant, Indo-Western Keyboard
Revansidda Sheelvant, originally from Gulbarga, journeyed to Bangalore to master the Indo-Western keyboard. Over four years, he dedicated himself to perfecting this versatile instrument. Transitioning to teaching at WMC (World Music Conservatory), his nurturing approach fosters joy in music learning. With two years of teaching experience, Revansidda aims to excel as a music director, composing and preparing diligently. His journey showcases determination, passion, and a commitment to shaping future musicians.
Along, Guitar
Along's musical journey began at age 8 with a deep passion for rock music, drawing inspiration from bands like Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, and Dream Theater.
As a talented guitarist and instructor, he has taught over 200 students across India over 15 years, including Delhi, Haryana, and Nagaland.
Known for his original composition "Dumb Girl," which gained popularity in North East India, Along continues to inspire at W.M.C Bangalore since 2022 with his dedication to music and distinctive rock style.
Vidushi Vidhya Natarajan, Veena
Dr. Vidya Natarajan, a veena artist, and a vocal teacher learned to play the veena under the eminent Veena exponent, Dr. Suma Sudhindra. She finished her Ph.D. from Bangalore University with the thesis titled “Veena and its scientific aspects.”
She has performed in a lot of Pancha veena concerts in the Madras December season festival, Ramanavami festivals, and Gokulastami Festivals.
She has also performed in the 25 Veena Concert under the tutelage of Dr. Suma Sudhindra.
Dr. Vidya Natarajan also conducted workshops, seminars and ran the music school for Vidushi. S. Sowmya and Shashikiran, under the banner Carnatica.
She also won the competition at the academy of music, Chennai, and Bangalore.
She is presently getting trained under the able guidance of Smt. Bhagyalakshmi Chandrashekaran, a top-grade artist at AIR.
Dr. Priya, Drums
Dr. Priya Andrews found her passion for music at the early age of 8 and was inspired by her father Mr.Andrews who was also a musician.
She not only started to accompany him but also play percussion for the live stage shows. At the age of 10, she had already assimilated a stern grip over the sticks and performing well with the composer and the rhythm pad.
By the time she was 18, she had already played for 600 live shows and had been asked to be a session drummer for well-known country artists.
Dr. Priya Andrews finished her Indian classical grade in Mridangam from Vidwan. Sri. Jayachandra and also procured grades from Trinity School of London under the guidance of Vidwan. Sri. Babusukumar from Babu School of Rhythm.
Passion for music and dedication towards her trait resulted in Dr. Priya Andrews performing with legendary singers like S P Balasubrahmanyam, S Janaki, L.R Eswari, Rajesh Krishnan, Anuradha Bhat, Shamitha Malnad, Archana Udupa, Hemanth, and Usha Kokila, to name a few.
Having won the Nadopasana award, she regularly performs for major TV stations.
Vidwan Srimanth, Tabla
Vidwan Shri Srimanth lives in Rajajinagar. He started learning Tabla at the age of 12 years.
He started his basic lessons under the guidance of Guru Shri Vidwan Puttaraj Gawai for 14 years. He has completed his SSLC.
He is also awarded as Tabla Chatura in Raichur and Tabla Vidwan in Kopal.
Shri Srimanth has traveled to almost all the States in India for performances. Interestingly he has accompanied renowned artists of different genres like musicians.
Smt Gayathri Mohan, Film & Light Music
Gayathri Mohan learned Carnatic classical music with Guru Sri & Smt. Venkata Rao (Chitradurga). Gayathri Mohan also has a Music B. A. at Maharani's Arts College, Bengaluru, and a Music (M.A.) at Bangalore University.
Gayathri Mohan has performed more than 5000 musical shows all over India, which included most of the famous personalities from the Kannada film Industry.
She’s a recipient of the prestigious Aryabhatta Awardee (2003 at Ravindra Kalakshetra).
Gayathri Mohan has trained hundreds of students in Bangalore & other places from the past 30 years who are now into live shows and have become successful T.V artists.
5 years of experience as a performer and anchor in TV channels, she has also performed in the Madhura Madhuravee Manjula Gaana program on Chandana channel.
Hari Haran, Drums
Hari haran is a seasoned drummer with over 15 years of experience, having developed a passion for drums since the age of 6. He is proficient in various percussion instruments including the djembe, congos, bongos, chenda, thavil, and rhythm pad.
Hariharan began performing on stage at the age of 8 or 9 and has since built a robust career in music.He completed his grade exams at Trinity College of London under the guidance of John Solomon at the Sharma Institute of Fine Arts.
For the past three years, Hariharan has been imparting his knowledge and skills to students as a drum teacher. Additionally, he is a music composer and producer, contributing to projects for individual artists, short films, documentaries, and album songs.
Megha Ranjini, Hindustani Vocal
Megha Raniini is a well-acclaimed Hindustani classical vocalist known for her versatility in light music and film music. Born into a musical family, her mother, Dr. Suparna Ravishankar, is a leading Veena artiste and Bharatanatyam dancer, while her father, Ravishankar R, is a singer and music patron.
Megha's musical journey began at age four, and she received training from her grandfather, Vidwan Sri Ivattur Ramamurthy, and later from Pandit Venkatesh Godkhindi and Pandit M V Hegde.She has won numerous awards, including the Sangeeta Nritya Academy award, and holds a CCRT scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Delhi. Megha has performed in over 1000 stage shows, trained more than 300 students at her institution 'Ranjini Kalakendra,' and released Kannada and Bhajan albums.
She has collaborated with notable artists like Padmashree Hariharan and Rajesh Krishnan and leads her music band 'Yatra.' Megha is also an engineering graduate in Biotechnology from PESIT and has senior training in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music.
